New Tendril Earrings!

I've made these from luminous round, oval baroque pearls I sourced from the American Gem Trade Association GemFair in Tucson earlier this year. They have tendril-like ear wires which clip closed in the back. I drill through the pearls with an ultrasonic drill using a slurry of water and fine grit.  I spiral the ear wire and feed it directly through the pearl, which makes them very secure.
