Large Black Mica Pods

My take on seed pods, these earrings are made of the mineral mica, layered together with translucent shellac, creating a soft amber or silvery glow. I strive to compliment the natural texture and color of the mica with accents of 23k gold leaf or silver leaf, along with either iridescent "Raven's Wing" ("Black") pearls or warm white pearls. The goldfilled or silver earwires clip closed in the back.
