Large Niobium Half-Round Earrings

All of the color in these earrings is created in a clear oxide! Just as a soap bubble has many colors which change as the thickness of the bubble changes, these niobium earrings will show the color I choose when I form a clear oxide layer on the grey niobium shape using only electricity in a liquid bath of washing soda and water. More voltage equals thicker clear oxide which creates a different interference color. 18k Vermeil ear wires left sterling at top, clip closed in the back.
