I sculpt my Eco-friendly designs from a material made with recycled water bottles! The ear-wires are hypo-allergenic anodized niobium (the colorful ones), sterling silver, or gold filled. They are colored with powdered pigments, metallic acrylics or lacquer. They are super-light, and come in a multitude of color combinations.
I carve a groove into the piece itself so they clip closed but there's no visible hook.
