Tiny "Batik" Sterling earrings with Pearls

The "Batik" collection is my variation on the patterning technique on cloth which uses a wax resist and dyes to create a design. I draw a lacquer resist on polished sterling, dip it in a solution which heavily oxidizes the exposed silver. Then I remove the resist and burnish the sterling shape leaving a satin gray pattern on the silver. 4mm Freshwater Pearls. 18k Gold-Vermeil earwires are left sterling at the top where they rest in the ear, and they clip closed in the back.
